DEMO REEL 2010 from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

Here's my DEMO REEL. Everything I've basically filmed since the beginning of the year. Just a perfect mix of weddings, skating, sushi, and a rap video! haha.

OREM PARK WINTER MONTAGE - CANON 7D from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

So I suck at blogging. Almost 3 months since my last post? I suck. Hopefully this video makes up for it. I tried to get a little creative with the editing. Hopefully it doesn't come off as annoying. Yay for winter being over!!

ARIZONA TRIP from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

Here's a little footage from my trip to Phoenix last week with Bones (Scott McDonald) and Casey Lund. Believe it or not but I've never been to Phoenix before. I didn't even realize it until a couple days before this trip. It was an amazing getaway from the winter. We skated Chandler skatepark and Pecos park. I really liked Pecos. That was the park we skated at night. We also skated ASU. Way fun. The campus was really nice. Too nice to skate apparently cause we got the boot after a while. Also I haven't seen Casey since 2002. He lives in Phoenix now. Good to see that kid. Anyway, 3 things to describe the trip: chicken wings, warm weather, and skateboarding.

SKATEBOARDING IN BLUMENAU BRAZIL from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

So I went to Brazil December 16th-22nd. It was just a quick little trip. I went down to:
A: Get out of the cold.
2: Take advantage of the ridiculous tax rates on consumer goods. (buy here, sell there)
D: and see my friends and family in Brasil. Come on!!
*please note HOME ALONE reference

Here's some footage of my trip within a trip, to Blumenau, Brasil. My good friend Pablo lives there and he freakin' shreds. Check it! and enjoy. Peace.

BABY DEVIN...

LIL DEVIN YORK from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

So I was digging through some old VHS tapes and I came across a little time capsule. A VHS of a wee Devin York doing man size rails. I think it was in sometime in 04 or 05 when I ran into Devin and he had a VHS in his hand with his name on it. I told him I wanted to see it. Devin gave it to me and told me he I could keep it "or whatever" cause he was just going to throw it away. I had a distinct feeling that whatever was on this tape was probably going to put my skating to shame, even though Devin deemed it worthless. And, I was right. Haha.
Besides now being all "growed up", the only thing that's changed is transition now fears Devin not just big rails.
Enjoy.

HERRIMAN PARK!!

HERRIMAN PARK W/ THE CANON 7D from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

So Matt Fisher, Brodie Penrod, Paul Devincent, Ryan Hoey and myself skated the Herriman skatepark on Monday (1/4/10). Ben Dickerson showed up a little later as well. There was a grip of kids ripping including Sam Hubble (but I don't need to tell you he was ripping) haha. My battery on the camera died and I missed some good stuff. Check out what I did get tho. Enjoy the vid.

GIFS!!

So I just learned how to make animated GIFs like 5 seconds ago...pretty cool. Blake Johnson told me it wasn't that hard and so I googled it. Google teaches me lots of things. Why do I even pay for education?

Most people enjoy sliding on snow, Strider Diem enjoys sliding over it.

Blake Johnson is pretty well known for taking pictures. But this time I stole little bits of his soul instead of the other way around.

NEW YEAR'S EVE 2009 SNOW-GAP SKATE SESSION from DUSTIN HILL on Vimeo.

Well, I thought I would kick off the new year with a Blog! This is my first blog and my first post. Coincidentally, this video is of the LAST day of the year.

This was a super fun session. Strider made it possible by shoveling a path at the park in the wee hours of the morning on New Year's Eve. Cristobal was also down to skate (as usual haha) and good times were abound.

This was filmed on the new CANON 7D with the Kit lens and a VIVITAR 7mm Fisheye lens.

Skaters featured: Strider Diem, Cris Keller and myself, Dustin Hill.

Enjoy.
